KÁLNICA
On this painting is shown the last “parta” of Kálnica. Worn by virgin only on wedding day. Last time appeared on wedding in 1940s. Base of this “parta” was composed of robust rectangle shape stacked cloth a wrapped by red cloth. “Parta” was decorated with glass pearls, paper decorations and wax flowers. Above both ears were created white flower shape stripes. On crown of “parta” were sewed on 3 embroidered red stripes lined up till loins. “Parta” was added with fresh rosemary wreath. Red colour of “parta” symbolize a life, blood and young woman ready to breed.
