Painting Kovačica is decorated with soft floral motives originating in colourful need- lework of Kovačica’s women. Model with her pose and closed eyes represents her at- titude towards accepting her new life in a new family. Wedding wreath on painting is da- ting back to 1967 and is composed of pamok bonnet on which rear side was placed in circle stacked white floral ribbon. Decorated with small “venčok” (wreath) made of white and pink cloth flowers, pearls, spangles and tiny green leaves. Long blue and pink nar- row ribbons were hanging down of this wreath. On bottom side of bonnet were pinned white wide ribbons stacked one on another in shape so they are able to cover brides upper arms. Tips of ribbons was joined by silver “šík” and on ribbons used to be pinned big wreath. Hairstyle under „Parta“ was called “na výkrutke”. Village of Kovačica is also known for her tradition of game called “Detská svadba” (children wedding) were we are still able to see Slovakian wedding traditions.
