LÁB
Characteristic colours of folk dress of Lab village were light blue and white. Blue colour originated from coat of arms of Palffy family, who were the landowners in Láb since late 16. century. Tiny needlework, made by thin needles on soft white cloth covered with small holes and stripes was part of pinafore of young woman and it is also backround motive of the painting. Traditional wreath of Lab´s young lady was made of 3 small rings made of fresh rosemary, white cloth flowers, tiny glass pearls and stripes. These 3 rings used to be secured by tying up at scruff and pinned up on scarf. At the end of wreath were long double stripes tied up into nice ribbon. In middle of ribbon was placed flower or feather.
