LETANOVCE
Bridesmaides ancient “parta” depicted on this paintings had a much more red ribbons which make her differ from brides parta which were joined by rosemary wreath. Composed of parts: Frontal headband, upper ring, crown and needleworked stripes. Frond part was covered in golden or silver stripe. Second part was composed of two pigtails sewed by needle and filled with straws wrapped in red stripe to opticaly cover straws. In center of ring was crown of wires and silver shiny spangles. On outer side of ribbon were always tied up red and green stripes. “Parta” was in use till early 20th century. Similar type was worn also in Spišský Štvrtok.
