SEKULE
Central motive of painting are roses deeple connected with christiandom symbol of Christ blood. Prevailing motive on feast dress in Sekule were wide ribbons with handmade painting of roses and and forget-me-not flower tied up in front. Connection with nature is also present in this artwork where authors were inspired by this ribbons. Festive style of haircut of non married women of Sekule was called “stuški”. On hairs was pinned 10cm wide red stripe, which created a sort of bonnet with secured angles made of hard stripes. This type of wreath ended above forehead with beads decorated stripe. At the end were secured emboided or painted stripes. Model´s crossed hands are suggesting her thoughts about her future husband.
