SVÄTÝ PETER
Name for “parta” in Svätý Peter was ,”Gyöngyös koszorú“ first mention of wearing a “parta” came from 1920. Dress of bride composed of black silk. Village is part of “Golden garden” region characterised by muck ground and grain this is also shown on painting. “Parta” has wreath shape and it was only worn by bride on wedding day. Base was of thick wire wrapped in stripe. “Parta” self is composed of white cloth flowers, silver pearls creating a small circle of yellow pearls, green leaves and golden needles. After the wedding picture of bride and husband was stored in special triangle shaped box “omária” which then was placed on wall. Last use of this “parta” is between 1940 and 1942. On this painting you can see original “parta” of Mrs. Acsaiová which were used on 1923 on her´s mother wedding.
