VALALIKY
White as colour of virginity and innocence is dominating this portrait of bride of Valalik. This “parta” can be worn only on wedding day. Wedding parta cannot be rented or reused by someone else, because it can bring bad luck on owners family. By local tradition “parta” was burned after using in sacred fire. After great war is town style dress prevailing and folk dress starts to dissapear. Sad look with black eyes backround is representing insure toughts of bride about a wedding and her future husband. On backround you are able to see changing geometrical paterns also with floral patern of tulip which is typical for region of Abov.
