VIKARTOVCE
“Parta” in Vikartovice used to be worn by girls from 13 years till 16 years old. Part of it was green wreath, which was pinned up on top. Tradition begin to dissapear in late 1950s. It used to be worn also to feast of christian maturity and other christian feasts also for folk group festivals. Main part was called “trest” (means punishment) made of hard cardboard sewed by black cloth and golden stripe. Back of “parta” was composed of half ring shaped stripes ended up in pigtail. “Parta” on painting was reconstructed by Mr. Lavka and Mrs. Olexáková in 1983. Backround is made in shape of stripes which are shinning suppose to create a sort of aura around model´s head.
